Gifted and Talented Program

The essence of giftedness is advanced development. Learners who are gifted have the ability or potential to operate at levels far beyond that of their age peers. These learners have different learning needs to their peers and may be gifted on one or more of the following
domains: Intellectual, Creative, Social or Physical.
The College aims to design and implement programs, both within the formal and informal curriculum, which enable students to develop their skills, knowledge and ability thus allowing them to reach their full potential. As a learning community, the College works in partnership with families to identify, support and challenge students demonstrating giftedness.

Students can be identified and referred through a process of self-nomination, parent nomination and or teacher nomination. Through the referral process, data will be collected and assessed to ensure that an appropriate program can be designed to meet student needs. These may include pretests, teacher checklists, standardized achievement tests, psychological assessments, the tracking of students and student profiles.Parents and students are invited to use the application forms below to nominate for the program.

Please download and complete the nomination forms and return to  Mrs Kelly (Learning Enhancement Coordinator).
